Good evening everyone,

This is a brief message from St Michael’s Team 1 to let you know some of the things we have been doing in your area this week.

Officers have been patrolling inside Car Parks within the City Centre to deter anti-social behaviour to make the community feel safer. Officers are working in partnership with various Car Park managements to protect your property.

A charge and remand was secured for West Midlands Police Number 1 Most Wanted by PC LLOYD.

Increased foot patrols have taken place in Lady Herbert’s Gardens to deter Anti-Social Behaviour and criminality to make the community feel safer.

Joint operations have taken place in Lady Herbert’s Gardens with West Midlands Police force resources and partner agencies including licensing and the rough sleeper team from Coventry City Council. Police officer patrols were carried out both covertly and overtly in uniform.

Increased foot patrols have taken place in Penny Black Lane due to concerns raised by the local community for drug dealing offences and Anti-Social Behaviour. Numerous stop and searches have taken place during these patrols.

Numerous shop thefts have been detected by officers whilst on patrol and positive outcomes achieved resulting in retailers recovering stolen goods.

Officer’s work closely with the Coventry BID team (Business Improvement Districts)

Officers’ also work alongside the Law Enforcement Officers and Street Patrollers.

There have been 3 arrests across the last week relating to business crime where we have achieved a number of positive outcomes to charges against offenders.

8 Stop and Searches have also taken place targeting prolific offenders within the City Centre.
